Chevy Express 3500 van with a DURAMAX DIESEL for sale. I am the original owner and ONLY driver. 155" wheel base (extra long) Mileage: 262,350 (90% highway miles) This van looks and drives like it only has 1/4th the miles on it. It steers, stops, and drives like it always has. I spent on average 200 miles per day going back and forth from Slanesville, WV to Dulles Airport area for about 24 years, 10 years of which was commuting in this van. I was a general contractor in Northern Virginia (DC suburbs) for 35 years. I retired 2 years ago and I no longer need this much truck. This one ton van will haul or pull just about anything...it is a beast. It has a Duramax 6.6. engine. It still runs like new and doesn't leak any fluids at all. The transmissions shifts smooth and shifts like it always has. It has tilt wheel, power locks, power windows, cruise control, and XM radio/cd player. The Alpine XM radio is nine years old and it came with one year of FREE XM...IT IS STILL WORKING AND I HAVE NOT PAID THEM ANYTHING. It may work forever or they could shut it off at any time. I have the original AM/FM radio. This van has been serviced at my local Chevy dealer almost exclusively. After the warranty ran out I changed the oil/filter, both fuel filters, and brakes myself. I have all the receipts for the parts. I have a folder about an inch thick with a receipt for everything that's ever been done to it. It has had the oil changed every 5 K miles with Rotella 15-40 synthetic. Both fuel filters have been changed every 15-20 K miles. The transmission and rear end fluid was flushed/changed at about 150 K miles. 6 months ago I had the CHEVY dealer install a new alternator, water pump, and serpentine belt. ($2,400) I put brand new tires on it within the last month. The tires have less than 500 miles on them. The black American Racing wheels are about a year old. I have another complete set of tires and rims that go with it. They were just balanced. The chrome rims are from a 2500 HD Duramax. The rims are pealing clear coat.The tires have have about 60% tread left. At 160 K I had the dealer install two new front hubs. I replaced the calipers, rotors, and pads, all four shocks, an outer tie rod end, Pittman arm, and drag link about 2 years ago. It passed inspection in January at the Chevy dealer and, unlike some of the local boys garages, they do not let anything slide. I replaced both front seats with two identical seats from a 2016 van 2 years ago. Adrain Steel front divider wall and full metal bins/shelving inside. I added some wooden shelves for a 12" DeWalt miter box/stand and folding saw horses. I custom built a cabinet with a fold down tray. Nice desktop/snack tray. I have a mount for a Garmin and a 7" tablet. It has a Weather Guard Safari rack (painted black) with a diamond plated aluminum deck bolted down with stainless steel screws with rubber strips in-between the rack and diamond plate (no rattling). I've had 100- 5/4 x 20' deck boards on this rack. (NOT EXAGGERATING AT ALL). It was hairy driving it with that much weight on the rack but it did just fine. I wrecked it 8 years ago. It was only sheet metal damage. I drove it to the repair shop. The guy did a fantastic job. There is no rust on this van. The paint is about 4 years old. I had everything but the roof re-painted. The roof still looks good as it has been covered with a rood rack since it was new. There are some very small rock chips but there are NO SCRATCHES or DENTS in the paint. It still shines like it's (almost) new. I had the windshield changed at that time also as the rock pitting was getting excessive. There is a stainless steel ladder with over the top of the door welded mounts so the ladder will not come off without removing the bottom bolts so you can lift it off the door. If you come and see this truck and drive it you'll see that I've taken good care of it. I bought it with the intention of seeing if I could get a million miles out a DURAMAX but I retired before I could drive it that far. After 37 years...I cannot deal with the general public anymore....people are really different now....most have become unreasonable and they are emotionally unwell. It ain't perfect but, for a 13 year old work truck, it is in remarkably good shape outside. The inside in the back shows its age a little but the the dash, seats, floor mats, headliner, and door panels are still in very good shape. The two front seats came out of a brand new 2016 van. The only issues this van has are: The check engine light is on. It's been on for about 5 years. The code says it's a turbo actuator switch. I cannot tell any difference in the performance AT ALL and they want $3 K to replace it as you have to purchase a turbo to get the switch. I can erase the code and sometimes it will stay off for a few days and other times it will come back on almost immediately but it still runs like it always has. The LOW COOLANT light has been on for about 10 years. It is just the sensor but they won't sell just the sensor, you have to buy the reservoir too. It also comes on randomly. I just make sure the temp gauge is fine. It runs at about 165-180 unless I pull a heavy trailer up a mountain. It goes up a little but never has gone into the red. The driver's power door lock doesn't work. I can open it inside and out manually. The button still locks/unlocks all the other 5 doors. Other than the above 3 things, there is NOTHING else wrong with this van. I wouldn't hesitate to take it across the country and back.I am asking $9,500 (OBO). If I get an offer very close to what I am asking, I will include almost $5,000 worth of tools with the van. No trades. If you make a low ball offer I will ignore it. They use the short yellow gas canisters. All 4 guns power up. One framing nailer works fine. The other framing nailer fired once but the drive rod stuck out so it needs rings. I do not have any gas for the trim guns so I am not sure if the need O rings or not. -3 batteries, 3 charger bases but there is only ONE power supply cube. 4 cases. -1/2" Milwaukee hammer drill (arm breaker) - Rigid floor drier (used once) - Rigid framing air nailer with bag and partial box of nails -Hardwood floor air nailer with hammer -Graco X-5 airless sprayer with hose and spray gun (used twice) -2 36" spray shields -Graco pressure washer (commercial grade) The 8 hp HONDA motor fires up but the PUMP DOES NOT WORK. Two 50' Commercial grade hoses with quick connect 3/8" fittings.
